Dr Todd Jones graduated from the dental school at the University of British Columbia in 1990. He served as a Captain practicing dentistry in the Canadian Armed Forces until 1993 when he left the service to return to the University of British Columbia to pursue specialty training in the field of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry. He graduated in 1995 and successfully completed the National Specialty Examination of the Royal College of Dentists and the Provincial Specialty Examination of British Columbia to qualify as a Board Certified Specialist. He holds a Fellowship with the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia.

Dr. Jones’ passion for dentistry includes a desire to help his profession grow and develop. He has held executive positions with the Victoria and District Dental Society in 10 of the past 15 years. He is presently serving as the coordinator of the Mentor program. He served as President of the Victoria and District Dental Society in 1997 and has held several executive positions within the society. From 2003 until 2005, Dr. Jones served as a council member for the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia, whose mandate is to regulate the practice of dentistry within the province.

Dr. Jones also has a passion for teaching. He is a mentor and instructor for the Victoria Dental Study Club. He has presented lectures on Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at the Pacific Dental Conference, the Manitoba Dental Convention, the University of British Columbia, Malaspina College, and Comosun College.

Dr. Jones enjoys the full scope of Periodontics and Implant Surgery. His main interests are bone augmentation for implant placement and aesthetic periodontal plastic surgery.

Dr Jones is married to Dr. Christine Jones, a physician. They have 4 children and spend most of their spare time hiking with the kids all over Vancouver Island.
